Monolith talks Gotham City Impostors customisation
Upcoming downloadable multiplayer title Gotham City Impostors eschews classes in favour of deep player customisation, including options like wolves vomiting rainbows.
“Everything you unlock as you level up through gameplay – you can mix and match it with everything,” associate producer Lucas Meyers told Destructoid.
“Every load out has two weapons, so whatever two weapons you’ve unlocked, you can put those two together.
“You costumes are completely customisable, from the cowls to the capes to the shirts to the face paint – all of that.
“You can even customise who you move throughout the level with mobility gadgets, like the glider wings and the grapple hook and the roller skates.”
Players can also define their identity through calling cards.
“Every single time you kill somebody, your calling card shows up on their screen. As you level up and complete challenges, you get all kinds of art, artwork and catchphrases that go on those cards,” Meyers said.
“We really let our artists go crazy at Monolith with this. We’ve got some serious Batman stuff, we’ve got just some cool designs – we have wolves howling rainbows out of their mouths.”
