Friday, 19th August 2011 19:31 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Posted below the break, you will find a video released by Konami, showing a walkthrough of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Footage from the collection’s Peace Walker was shown earlier this year at E3, now its time for some Snake Eater. The collection is slated for a winter release on PS3 and Xbox 360. Thanks, Mike.

“…But not only in High definition but you’ll also notice that we’re using a super-widescreen-format, which let’s you see more of the action than ever before.”
So the aspect ration issue is not a bug, but a feature! :D

Well anyway, MGS3 will be the greatest in HD. I will buy the collection at day one.^^ And when it comes for the Vita I’ll also buy it (If it isn’t already included in the PS3 collection) At least Kojima mentioned, the PS2-MGS games will be transfarring enabled as well as ZoE. So it must somehow be playable on Vita and PS3.

Edit: @#3 No. Because the 3D camera is an optional feature of MGS3 Subsistance, included in the HD collection. But Substance of MGS2 was released before MGS3 and so had the old style 2D camera.

@ 4: That was what I was thinking, fearing infact. Being an optimist though im hoping they have found some way of implementing it. I read once the camera in MGS2 was ‘locked down’, the whole top down thing was the way they wanted it to play. So im hoping they did some work on this too.

Why cant all PS3 / Xbox look like this? No jaggies very smooth framerate, easy on the eyes, and still decent models and graphics. !!!

For those who have played mgs3 on ps2, this hd version doesn’t look better, because playing mgs3 for the first time was stunning, the best looking game at that time. Looking at it now after playing games on ps3, the game doesnt look as amazing as it used to be. So to me the game will be a nostalgia feeling. It would be nice if they gave it a proper next gen treatment, same with peace walker. Looking forward for the cutscenes though in hd, and the trophies. I hope mgs2 gets the reworked camera, can’t see why they can’t do it.

Also has anyone noticed the color looks abit different? i thought the bricks were red, not orange..

The game looked practically the same as Mgs2 but with a fake ugly bloom filter. The framerate was unbearable at times too.
