    Wow the plane scene, with the wheel going up. Looked gorgeous. Didn’t think the graphics would improve much over 2. I was wrong.

    I was skeptical when this was first announced, wondering if Naughty Dog could truly top Uncharted 2, I can now say after the past 2 months, as well as playing through the beta [level 25], my skepticism’s gone. Naughty Dog looks to have done it again. This trailer tugged at my heart strings a bit, and made my eyes well up. Can’t wait till November 1st.

    Shit me, that looks good. I’m a huge fan of the series so I’m naturally excited, but I’ve not seen any screens recently that have got me going as much as the above. Looks like another classic in the making. Go Team!

    Oh my God… I hate you, I HATE YOU NAUGHTY DOG I fuckin’ hate you. Damn that’s the best short trailer I’ve ever seen. No secret this game is going to be perfect, no damn secret. What gets me so annoyed? Not being part of it. This game is sure, SURE 20/10. Please let me sleep until the game is out and in the front door of my house. No PS3? Now with the price cut and this game coming out it’s time to buy one my friends. Uncharted is just the best damn American game ever done and the best adventure thing in any kind of media. I hate you, Naughty Dog but I want to make love to you.

    Well im pretty sure Uncharted 3 will be the game of the year atleast in Single player campaign. Loved UC2 but it will be closely followed by Arkham City but Gears of War 3 will be better online. I own both systems and i must say the multiplayer in UC3 was quite dissapointing. The graphics looks shitter compared to UC2 multiplayer graphics. Gears 3 multiplayer was awesome. Wicked to own both systme but too bad i dont play much on PS3 but i still love the system.

    The 5 Games i will buy come this holiday

    MW3
    Uncharted 3
    Gears Of War
    FIFA 12
    Arkham City
    RAGE

    I am not getting Uncharted 3 and here is why because it is not something that will be new yes it is visually appealing it will have the same gameplay as the previous games. I am already getting Skyrim, Rage, Downpour and TOR.

    Uncharted is like watching a Jason Statham or Michael Bay movie all eye candy and solid foundation for an action movie/game but no depth as far as the story goes. Uncharted 2 was pretty fun but had no replayability for me and I will not chuck 60$ for a game that has no replayability and all eye candy. Maybe when its half off or when Gamefly sends me it, I will play it. That period is too over saturated with games for me and I have already saved for the titles I mentioned.

    @15, Are you mad? first of it it will have a great new enjoyable story, with amazing moments. Secondly there is replayability , theres trophies, multiplayer, treasures, different way to play the game, such as other paths and stealth, with new mechanics!!

    Uncharted 3 is my most anticipated, but im suprised no one is mentioning skyrim! as a contender. If uncharted 3 wasnt out this year, id know skyrim will be game of the year for sure! look at the last trailer, it looks epic!

    “. Secondly there is replayability , theres trophies, multiplayer, treasures, different way to play the game, such as other paths and stealth, with new mechanics!!”

    Don’t care about trophies, Multiplayer, There are no different paths the story has always been linear if you mean looking for relics or collectibles don’t care about that stuff the rewards are minute.

    Every single Uncharted game I have the desire to play it once where I Know I will be playing Rage and Skyrim much more than Uncharted. I have priorities and Uncharted is not one of them.

    Eye candy =/= Great game

    @17: I’ve not followed either Rage or Skyrim but from what you’re saying those games have non-linear stories with multiple possible endings?

    17: Uncharted games arent ment to be played twice.
    thats how i see it.
    yes its expensive. 60 bucks for a, what, 10-12 hour campain. But so what?
    its imo, the by far best cinematic singleplayer experience u can have to date. The first playtrhough in UC 1 and 2 were the 2 best SP playthroughs ive ever had.
    No shit

    and thats exactly what i want from uc3. and to say it that way: buy 5 Movies and u also spent 60 bucks for 10-12 hours enterteinment.
    And to be fair, there arent much movies as entertaining to me as a fresh UC campain.
    fact.

    @17, Going for trophies is alot better than you think. there are times when your challenged and forced to come up with unique ways to play through, which otherwise you never would have thought of, giving you greater apreciation and a sense of wow. You dnt like multiplayer, fair enough. Yes the game is pretty linear, but you can get from A to B differently, taking a stealth aproach, pure carnage, going through different routes, from the top of building passing enemies etc.. so it aint exactly strictly linear, your given options to try out, warranting a couple of play throughs. Also some of the unlockables is pretty cool and worth playing through again. Not many games get it right but uncharted does.

    On a wider note, being a terribly vain bastard, I also like trophies because it updates Facebook with all the latest ones that I have unlocked. Sure, you could do it with gamertag achievements in the past, but with the PS3 trophies it just, well, works :)

    That and the sound-effect of earning a trophy is rapidly becoming aural crack to me.

    @18

    You apparently never played a TES game or Bathesda game. Yes SKyrim has a multitude of paths. Rage is an ID Game which they have never disappointed with their games, there are a lot more options as far as gameplay than Uncharted will ever offer.

    @19

    ” Uncharted games arent ment to be played twice.”

    And that’s exactly why I am not paying for it. Its not worth 60$ if it has no replayability.

    “to say it that way: buy 5 Movies and u also spent 60 bucks for 10-12 hours enterteinment.”

    I have Netflix and we have Red box which means I could pay 2$ for each one of those movies if I wait long enough which I do because I rarely go to the movies anyways.

    “Going for trophies is alot better than you think.”

    No its not Trophies is just a vanity thing of showing off your epeen. It does nothing to benefit me. I will not waste my time with a game I didn’t enjoy just to get a trophy.

    “That and the sound-effect of earning a trophy is rapidly becoming aural crack to me.”

    Thats why they made cheevos and trophies because they found studies that show that these things work for people and it works for those that like collecting which I don’t.

    @22, stop quoting me to favour your arguements. Trophies aren’t meant to be unlocked to boast about and be vain. It’s a personal challenge more foremost, which forces you to think smarter and play the game in a certain way you may have not thought of previously. Yeah most trophies or achievements are useless and just a waste of time, put in for the sake of it. But if you went for the ones in uncharted 1/2, they make you play in a way thats both challenging and rewarding, and wasn’t useless. Theres a lot of detail put into the uncharted games to warrant more then two play through at the least.

    @ 21, i got the trophy sound as my message tone, for my blackberry. Love it :)

    @23

    “stop quoting me to favour your arguements. ”

    Uh no its there for a reference am I doctoring it up so it proves my point? No I’m not. Yes I know its shocking there is an actual person that doesn’t find the same enjoyment from Uncharted as you do. I find them to be full of eyecandy with no substance. What makes me get a game is Gameplay, Story and Replayability. Uncharted only has one of those that appeals to me and even that is just like any action platformer like Splinter cell and Prince of Persia. Its not worth the 60$ price tag when its half off and I have no other games to play then I will get it but not a minute sooner.

    ” they make you play in a way thats both challenging and rewarding, and wasn’t useless. ”

    I understand that infact I did it with Infamous 2, Infamous, LA Noire, when the game is enjoyable I will go for the trophies but I will not go for them if the game is boring. DId you not get that from my last post?

    #24 3 years ago
  25. Kuwabara

    @23, so now your an idiot calling uncharted 3 boring, lol. I thought you said trophies were for showing off. How was sitting through la noire more exciting than playing through uncharted? I fininshed la noire, the only excitement i got was the last mission.

    #25 3 years ago
  26. Phoenixblight

    @25

    Thats all subjective. I never said Uncharted 3 was boring because I have yet to play it. I have said I have found the Uncharted series to be boring compared to other games I have played. Deal with it. Not everyone is for the Uncharted series like you.
