BF3 64-multiplayer video and co-op screens

DICE has released the Caspian Border 64 multiplayer video shown for Battlefield 3 at gamescom. It shows players shooting it out on the Caspian Border. get caught up on what happened at the EA Press Conference through our liveblog. DICE set the standard for shooters once again for 5 years.

@1, you can set the speed at max and smash yourself up the wall easily in Battlefield 2. Here is no going to be different.
You can control it slowly or you can use speed, but than it’s going to be really hard to control it (well, you can always sabotage it… lol).

Visuals look amazing.

However, I’m sceptical that anyone’s likely to see the amount of action in even the shortest snippet shown in that trailer in about 10 hours of normal gameplay.

You have to make combat jets fly slowly in a game, otherwise nobody would be able to control them. It is a little silly to watch a plane that’s been developed for 20-30 years and stuffed full of the most advanced avionics shooting its gun at other aircraft like it’s the Battle of Britain, but that’s just videogame logic.

I’m with Giga. It looks gorgeous, even with the neon glare, but from the snippets of ground gameplay, it doesn’t seem to me like they’ve gotten very far.

@10 You shouldn’t be. You can already experience the same sort of explosive highs in Bad Company 2, and that’s only 24-player.
