Gamescom 2011: Microsoft press conference - we're live

It's a play day, yes. But considering what we're about to see before we leave for EA, you will read this. Oh, and there's other things of note too. But that main thing is why you'll read.

This will be a free-form event instead of a press conference unlike Sony or EA, but we did this last year. We thought we did well out of it, so we're doing it again.

Last year was all about Fable III, Halo: Reach and Kinect. This year will all about be those three things again: Fable: The Journey, Halo Anniversary and more Kinect stuff, with showings from stable games Kinect Sports and Dance Central 2 (I'm thinking about it).

And now it's official: Steel Battalion will be at the event. We're seeing it this afternoon. We'll let you know what it's like as soon as.

We're on right now. Watch everything below.
