Dynasty Warriors 7 Xtreme Legends to see Western release

Koei Tecmo has surprised fans by confirming a November US release for Dynasty Warriors 7 Xtreme Legends, previously noty expected to make it outside Japan.

Siliconera reports the game is expected to launch states-side on November 15, presumably on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; we'll try and find out.

The latest Xtreme Legends expansion adds in Legend Mode, allowing players to revisit battles from previous entries in the series; a challenge mode with online leaderboards; Japanese voice-acting as an option; and a mode called Mixjoy for fiddling with the original game, should you own it.

Three new Wei kingdom warriors are added, too, most notably the long-requested Guo Jia and fan-favourite Pang De.

No word on European dates yet. Despite the franchise's successes, Koei Tecmo has been very quiet regarding a number of titles announced for Japan including HD versions of Samurai Warriors 3 and the Empires spin-offs.
