Information on Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 will arrive “very soon,” Sega West CEO Mike Hayes has told VG247.

Hayes couldn’t comment further when asked how far out “soon” was, adding that we should “look out for that one.”

Sonic 4: Episode 1 launched last year for PSN, XBLA and WiiWare, as well as iOS, with the exec saying that it sold well “on all platforms, iOS and console download.”

“It did very well and it continues to do well,” Hayes told us in a phone interview this afternoon.

“Particularly when it gets a little shot in the arm with some promotion or some price activity, sales are quite phenomenal. Its downloaded clearly over a million units, so its sold particularly well and continues to sell.”

More from our interview tomorrow morning.

Who even cares at this point? What little interest anyone might have had on this (considering how horrible the physics were) has been killed by the fact that SEGA seemed to completely forget about it for the better part of a year.

“Oh hey, you guys remember that reboot of sorts that was horribly overpriced with lackluster gameplay and lukewarm reception? You know, the game we completely neglected but promised 4 episodes? WE’RE BRINGING IT BAAAAAACK!!”

    sonic is dead.

a week ago I was going out and I saw one dead hedgehog at the side of the street, I was its intestines out around his back side. It was weird and disgusting, a car must have ran it over.

i think what I experience was trying to tell me that YES Sonic is Dead!
