Perfect World has completed its acquisition of Champions Online developer Cryptic Studios. The Chinese company has apparently spent $49.8 million on the buyout after Atari announced earlier this year it was to divest from the studio. Atari says it will use to decrease debits among other things. Perfect World also has a majority stake in Torchlight studio Runic Games from May this year.

Thanks, Gamasutra.
