Treyarch to produce Modern Warfare 3 on Wii

Treyarch is developing the recently revealed Wii version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling revealed the news during the latest podcast from Activision community manager Dan Amrich.

"The great thing is Treyarch proved that you can have an awesome experience on the Wii with Call of Duty. They'll actually be handling that for Modern Warfare 3," he said.

Treyarch has also produced Wii versions of Black Ops and World at War, as well as Modern Warfare: Reflex and other non-Call of Duty titles. Infinity Ward has never made a Wii game.

The Modern Warfare 3 Wii release was outed during Activision's second quarter financials.

Call of Duty: Modern warfare 3 is due on major platforms in November. The Wii SKU has not been dated.
