Battlefield 3 pre-orders detailed for UK and US

EA has announced pre-order incentives for Battlefield 3 in North America, the UK, and a friendly reminder regarding Back to Karkand.

As previously announced, those who pre-order Battlefield 3 will be bumped up to the Limited Edition, which includes the previously announced Back to Karkand post-launch digital expansion for free, while those who do not pre-order can purchase the digital expansion separately for $14.99/£11.99.

Select retailers are also offering the following pre-order bonus packs which include:

  • Physical Warfare Pack - Type 88 light machine gun with bipod for deadly firepower and total zone control; SKS sniper rifle flash suppressor that provides increased stealth abilities for Recon soldiers; armor-piercing flechette ammo for the DAO-12 semi-automatic shotgun that will tear through anything in its path.
  • SPECACT Kit – Players can expand their customizable options in Battlefield 3 with a set of eight unique multiplayer skins, one for each class in Battlefield 3.
  • Dog Tag Pack – In Battlefield 3, dog tags serve as the player’s in-game signature, allowing gamers to customize their soldiers. Dog tags are displayed on screen every time a player takes down an enemy or claims an opponent’s dog tags. This pre-order exclusive item comes with five new, unique dog tags.

Each weapon in the Physical Warfare pack will be available for a limited time in-game, and will later become available to all players. Also unlocked is instant access to the highly versatile DAO-12 semi-automatic shotgun.

Battlefield 3 will be available October 25 and 28 in North America and the UK, respectively, for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. PC gamers will also be able to download the Battlefield 3 Limited Edition at Origin as well as through over 100 digital retailers worldwide – a list of which can be found here. Obviously, Steam is not listed.

I can see the beta details on the Origin store now. I hope my early pre-ordering before the info was up doesn’t mean I will miss out. :(

Can you add where each specific pre-order bonus comes from, I know that:

Physical Warfare Pack – Game, Gamestation

SPECACT Kit – Amazon.co.uk

It is sad day, hopefully they will initially release it on Steam so I can buy it. :)

@all – The list of retailers has been added through a link.

The reason I did not list the retailers in the main post is because neither PR mentioned the stores and apparently, there are a lot.

Just hit the link at the bottom.

@3 Yeah, looking forward to that myself. Hopefully MW3 will be a proper substitute until then.

Origin sucks. The only pre-order incentive they saved for themselves is “play the beta 2 days before everyone else in the world can.” I’m buying from GameStop.
