Batman: Arkham City pre-order bonus fashion parade

If you’re the kind to shop around retailer-exclusive bonus content, you may want to cast your eyes over the Batman: Arkham City skins on offer.

The dedicated fans over at ArkhamCity.co.uk are compiling a list of available player skins and where you can snaffle them.

One of the coolest is The Dark Knight Returns skin, featuring a bulky character model seemingly inspired by Frank Miller’s much admired post-retirement Batman arc, which comes with all pre-orders of the Collector’s Edition.

Another fairly awesome one is the suave Batman Beyond skin, available with pre-orders from GameStop in the UK and MightyApe in New Zealand. MightyApe is also offering an Earth One skin, which should please comic geeks deep enough to know what that means, and an Animated Series version. Lucky New Zealanders!

For the nostalgic, 1970′s Batman sadly comes without a “na na na na na na na” refrain, but can be had with pre-orders at ShopTo in the UK and Toys ‘R’ Us in the US.

As previously noted, Robin is also getting a bit of bonus content love, with Best Buy in the US and JB Hifi in Australia offering a Red Robin skin.

Batman: Arkham City is due on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in October, with a Wii U version to follow.

Wow, Batman Beyond looking pretty sweet,

fond memories of the animated series but I don’t know if that would pull me out of the game atmosphere too much.

Crappy animated series Batman, Doughnut Batman, Gay Batman, Black Batman, Unreal Batman and the most acceptable one. I’m gonna get the standard retail game… I was hoping they would have better models.

In the cartoon he has little wings under his arms which pretty much appear when needed (he also has rocket boots), i guess he’ll use that when you glide.

And fuck this, i’m paying for the more expensive Collectors Edition, all of this should be in it.

The line-up is pretty cool but I don’t know all of them:

Batman Beyond (Emmy winning animated spin-off), The Dark Knight (Critically acclaimed graphic novel), ???, 80/90′s comic book (?), Batman the Animated series (Critically acclaimed), Arkham Asylum.

Shame though we have to preorder multiple copies to get all of these, and no doubt we have to pay for them if we don’t preorder at all. These should have been ingame unlockables.

Who would have thought, of all the reboots: The Village People! I’ll give them points for an original reinvention gimmick tnough.

Some really awesome suits, the dark knight returns costume just looks fat to me though.. from the thumbnail on the main page my first thoughts were “No way.. you can play as fat bat man??”

Batman beyond costume is my favorite, really kick ass.

And please, for the love of god, don’t be a dumb ass and shell out 300 bucks for this stuff on Ebay. It will all be DLC within a month of the games release.

Oh believe me, i’ll just buy one copy and that’s it. It would be NUTS to buy multiple copies just for these outfits. But like i said..these should have been unlockables. Making it even more worth it to have multiple playthroughs, and challenge mode rewards.
