Quick Quotes: Darkness 2′s project director Sheldon Carter on iPad
“I think the home console experience is going to be with us for a long time. Do I think that the iPad will encroach? Absolutely, it has to. You think about how many iPads are out there already, iPads and other mobile devices. But I don’t think it’ll be exclusive, I don’t think that just because somebody buys one of those things they wouldn’t buy a console. I think there’s always going to be a market for high-end, for people who just want to play the most cutting edge. I think there’s always going to be a market for, ‘I want to flop down on the couch and sit back.’” – Sheldon Carter to CVG on the popularity of iPad.

Quick Quotes: Kojima’s interested in L.A. Noire tech, but not using it in his next title
“I’m very interested in [LA Noire], and I’m waiting for it to be released in Japanese. I haven’t played it yet but I was able to go to the studio where they were [performing the facial capture]. The technology is absolutely fantastic. Nevertheless, for the next game I want to make, it isn’t necessarily the technology I need, so I don’t think it goes along with the next game I would like to create. This technology, regarding facial expressions – that affect the outcome of the game – I think that’s a huge element that from now on will change the direction of adventure games.” – Hideo Kojima during the Gamelab conference in Barcelona via Edge.
