New PS Vita Trailer shows off cross-play, party features, more
Sony has released a new PS Vita trailer and it showcases various features of the handheld including cross-play between Vita and the PS3, the handheld’s party features, a new feature called PS More and lots of other cool stuff.
The trailer’s also got blink-and-you’ll-miss it gameplay footage of various PS Vita titles including the likes of Uncharted and LittleBigPlanet. It’s pretty cool and you should check it out below.

Battlefield Heroes Wicked Island video is a bit comical
Last week, EA announced the Wake Island map for Battlefield Heroes. Today, we’ve run across a video of it, and it’s posted below. The Wake Island pack for the game included Battlefield funds, some festive flares, and a Birthday Suit if players logged in between July 1-7 for the game’s second anniversary. Today is July 8, so if you didn’t log in beforehand, you may be out of luck on the goodies. You can still get the map, though. Thanks, EvilAvatar.

Xenoblade European release brought forward to August
Nintendo’s announced that the European release of Xenoblade has been brought forward from its original September 2 date. The Monolithsoft RPG will now launch on August 19. Nintendo’s also said that the Classic Controller Pro bundle for the game is in limited supply, and that those interested should pre-order now before it’s too late. So get to it.

BBFC: Resistance 3 to include three PS3 demos
The BBFC’s rated Resistance 3 – an 18, so you know – with the rating on its website showing that it’ll come with three demos: 2D and 3D demos of Killzone 3, inFamous 2 and Motorstorm Apocalypse. For R3 itself, it has nearly 90 minutes worth of cut-scenes throughout the game, with no cuts made to the content in the game.
It’s out on September 6 in the US and September 9 in the UK for PS3. Thanks, Gamerzines.

Capcom to release Resident Evil 15th anniversary boxset
Capcom’s to release a colossal 15th anniversary boxset of the Resident Evil series. The box will include PS1 versions of the first, second and third games, as well as the Revival Collection that will include HD versions of Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica X. CDX and RE4′s soundtracks will also be included. There’s also a “spacer” so you can add a copy of Resident Evil 5 in the box. It’s a Japan-only thing right now, and is available from September 8 on e-Capcom.

GameSpot‘s gone up with an 18-minute long, off-screen gameplay video of Funcom MMO The Secret World. The EA Partners-published title was one of the main points during last night’s publisher showcase, but still no announcement was made on when to expect it release. Tales of Xillia gets six-minute trailer, still looks amazingly nice
Namco Bandai’s released a new six-minute trailer for Tales of Xillia, still showing some of those pretty cut-scenes and more in between. You can get it below the break. Game’s out for PS3 in Japan in September. No western release has been announced as of yet.
