Quick shots: FFXIII-2 screens look purdy and nice

FFXIII-2 releases next year for PS3 and 360 in the west. It’s out in Japan in December.

Left 4 Dead 2 DLC Dead Air to launch on week of July 22
Valve’s announced that upcoming community-made L4D2 DLC Dead Air will launch on the week of July 22 at the latest. It has said it’ll try to release it earlier than that, but July 22 is the latest date it will release on. The early release follows a challenge for 20,000 Steam users to unlock the Stream Crosser achievement on Cold Stream. The barrier was massive surpassed at 60,774 times.

Fallout: New Vegas: Old World Blues gets trailer before next week’s launch
Bethesda’s released a trailer of Old World Blues, the penultimate DLC for Fallout: New Vegas. The content sees you become a lab rat in an experiment gone wrong, as you scout research centers to either “turn the tables on your kidnappers or join forces with them against an even greater threat.” You can get the video below, via IGN.
Old World Blues launches next week for PS3, 360 and PC.

Operation Raccoon City gets six-minute gameplay video
Kotaku‘s posted a six-minute gameplay video of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, this time showing one of the four-person Umbrella team out to destroy any evidence of the T-Virus incident in the city. Operation Raccoon City launches this autumn from Capcom and Slant Six on PS3 and 360.

Riddler drops riddles in new Arkham City trailer
MSN Games has gone live with a new trailer of Batman: Arkham City, this time showing the focus on The Riddler. Riddler’s one of several main bad guys in the game alongside Joker, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, Penguin and Hugo Strange. Get the trailer below the break. The Rocksteady actioner is out in the UK on October 21 for PS3, 360 and PC.

Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy gets big blowout on info, screens
Square Enix has properly lifted the lid on Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy for 3DS, the rhythm game that was announced last week by the company. We don’t really know what it’s all about, although will feature characters from past FF games in Chibi form and songs from FFVI, VII, X and XIII also in the game. We’ll just point you towards Andriasang for info and screens. There doesn’t seem to be a date for it yet in Japan.

Yamaoka’s Play for Japan now available from iTunes
Ex-Silent Hill composer, now Grasshopper Manufacture music boss, Akira Yamaoka’s Play for Japan album is now available from iTunes. The album was made following the wake of the devastating Japanese tsunami and earthquakes in March, and contains contributions from gaming’s biggest composers, including Nobuo Uematsu. Gazillion launching two F2P MMOs in Europe
Gazillion’s announced it’s to bring two new MMOs to Europe. Marvel Super Hero Squad Online and Fortune Online, both of which are in beta right now, will come to the continent via ProSiebenSat.1 Digital. The titles are free-to-play and browser based. There’s more info on it at Joystiq.
