Kojima hints at 60FPS for Peace Walker HD

MGSHD

Hideo Kojima’s hinted on Twitter that the HD version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be given a framerate bump up to 60FPS. The PSP version was previously running at 30FPS. The HD versions of MGS2 and MGS3 were already confirmed to have 60FPS running – MGS2 already had it running at its original release, while MGS3 will see it implemented for the HD launch. Basically, you’re going to smoother-running games. Everyone’s a winner. He also said he had tried 60FPS for the PS2 version of MGS3, but was not possible because of tech issues.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection launches in November for PS3 and 360. Thanks, Andriasang

Upcoming DNF patch to up Duke’s arensal, increase weapon slots

dukejune11

The list of knocks against Duke Nukem Forever is long and varied, but Gearbox is about to give one Duke’s much-beloved boot. (Sadly, it’s not the lack of Duke’s much-beloved boot.) “Among the changes coming to PC are a new expanded inventory option that allows you to carry up to four weapons in the single-player campaign, Valve Anti-Cheat System (VAC) support, push-to-talk voice chat, the ability to adjust FOV plus other fixes and improvements that are still being tested,” said a post by community manager Chris Faylor. So there you have it, Duke fans. Go nuts. Chew gum, kick ass, and commit unspeakable crimes against good taste.

Humble Indie Bundle – now with extra Minecraft

20110527minecraft

Ah, humility. Sometimes, it earns you the respect and admiration of your peers. Other times, it makes you more pleasant to be around. Other other times, it gets you free stuff. This, happily, is the latter situation. The humblest of all known indie bundles (we can’t account for space or other dimensions) has introduced a free Minecraft pass to its already formidable lineup. From now until August 14, you’ll have your own set of keys to Notch’s block-by-block opus. So then, you should toss a few coins in the bundle’s cap. After all, considering that it’s earned more than $500,000 already, it has to be doing something right.

Thanks, Destructoid.
