Everquest II trailer reminds you it exists
Sony Online Entertainment has released a new trailer for, uh, Everquest II. Not for any particular reason, apparently – just in case you’re not aware of this MMORPG almost eight years and ten expansions post launch.
It’s quite pretty, actually, and a nice tribute to a series which pioneered much of the modern MMORPG. Check it out through the break. Maybe join a guild.
Everquest II’s next expansion, Age of Discovery, is due in November.

Retailers push back El Shaddai’s US release
Game Informer reports both Amazon and Gamestop’s US portals have changed listings for El Shaddai: Ascent of the Metatron to an August 16 release.
The Ignition-published action title was previously scheduled for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on July 26, with a European launch expected in September.
There’s been no official word; we’ll poke Ignition a bit.

Microsoft downplays Sony domain registrations
Mictosoft’s lead corporate communications officer Frank X. Shaw has said the company’s mysterious Sony-related domain registrations don’t mean anything much.
“Sony [is a] great Microsoft partner. No scoop here, this was just a defensive domain hold,” he tweeted.
Conspiracy theorists are free to continue the PlayBox4720StationX speculation, though.
