Ignition released a new El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron trailer Comic-Con, which highlights the game’s story and gorgeous graphics. It’s posted below, courtesy of Gematsu. El Shaddai is out in the US on August 16, and September 9 in Europe on PS3 and Xbox 360.

In the video interview posted below, Mass Effect 3 producer Jesse Houston discusses with GameFront a number things related to the game, including DLC, relationships, as well as all the normal ME stuff as well as information regarding mod support and the “console-to-PC porting process.” It’s worth the watch, though you may wish to turn your speakers up a bit to hear it. Mass Effect 3 is due on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in March 2012.

Posted below the break is a gameplay video for Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, which shows how to modify a tennis ball machine with gasoline. You have to see it to believe it. “We have a couple other major franchises that we’ve not been paying attention to. It’s been a long time since we shipped an Unreal game, and it’s an awfully loved franchise that we hold pretty dear here. We haven’t been giving it the attention it deserves because we’ve been focusing on Gears of War and we’re still a relatively small company. We’ve been sort of focused on making new properties, which you’ve seen with Shadow Complex, BulletStorm and Infinity Blade, but sometimes I think just as a businessman that maybe we should be spending some more time with our existing franchises.” Epic President Mike Capps to IndustryGamers.

Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 3 panel at Comic-Con netting lots of interesting tidbits. The panel, titled “Developing Interactive Entertainment: The Performance Capture Techniques of the Uncharted Franchise and Today’s Film Industry,” was attended by series writer Amy Hennig, Emily Rose (Elena Fisher), Richard McGonagle (Sully) and Nolan North.

343 Industries and Microsoft released a new video walkthrough of the E3 demo for Halo CE Anniversary during Comic-Con. In it, executive producer Dan Ayoub discusses Classic Mode which will allow players to switch between classic Halo CE visuals and updated graphics. It looks pretty easy to do, and you will notice quite a difference between the original graphics and the updates ones. You can watch the video below, courtesy of Machinima. Hale CE Anniversary is out on November 15, and pre-orders will net you a Grunt Funeral Skull. A video for it is also posted below, just in case you haven’t seen it yet.

Capcom confirmed during Comic-Con that the Resident Evil 15th anniversary HD updates of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X will land in the US. RE4 HD will land on September 20, while Code: Veronica X releases on September 27. Both games will be made available at retailers and through PSN and 360′s Games on Demand Service. A boxset featuring both titles plus PS1 versions of  RE1-3 hits Japan on September 8. Thanks, Gamespot.

Mike Capps, president of Epic Games, has said People Can Fly’s Bulletstorm “didn’t make money” for the firm, but neither he nor the rest of the company have any regrets regarding the shooter.

Cowen and Company has changed its full year sales predictions for Battlefield 3 from 8 million to 11 million. The firm said thanks to EA’s marketing campaign, the title is seeing pre-orders “comparable” to pre-order figures for last year’s Call of duty Black Ops. Earlier this week, UK retailer GAME said pre-orders for BF3′s closest rival, Modern Warfare 3, are outpacing last year’s Black Ops. The figures for both shooters should make for an interesting discussion once holiday sales are compiled an posted in January. Thanks, GI.biz.
