The 320-page novel will launch September 8, according to the game’s PR firm, and tell the story of how events at the idyllic Royal Palm resort spiral out of control, turning the calm and tranquil island of Banoi into one big bloody mess. The book will be published by Bantam and cost £6.99.
It’s penned by renowned British horror and thriller writer, Mark Morris, whose previous work includes Torchwood, Hellboy and Doctor Who novels as well as a number of original works.
Dead Island launches on PS, 360 and PS3 on September 6 in the US and September 9 in PAL territories. VG247 had hands-on time with a co-op build of the game a few weeks ago.
