Trine 2 developer diary spotlights a revamped Knight

Frozenbyte’s latest developer diary admits what every Trine fan knows deep in their heart – the knight is as useless as toe hair on a watering can. It looks like the sequel might remedy that.

Trine 2 is due on Mac, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 via digital distribution in September, after several delays. It follows on from the success of the original Trine, which also featured three characters co-operating to navigate platforming puzzles.

See the diary below for details on how the least delightful member of the team has been improved.

I really hope they don’t give PC fans a console port.

The PC version is being made natively, like was the case with the first Trine. PC will have support for keyboard/mouse plus gamepads for up to 3 people on the same system. Also more resolution options than consoles will be available and Nvidia 3D at a later date.

So don’t worry, we will be very careful about details like this. ;)

Damn that was a short developer diary XD
@2 I’m pretty sure it’ll be co-op on different platforms too now.

Trine was my favourite indie game of this generation. I never saw something beautiful like this. I mean… There are some sick designers and engineers.
Physics in this game are also… up to the AAA quality.
