Analysts expect Battlefield 3 sales to hit 11 million in first year

Cowen and Company has changed its full year sales predictions for Battlefield 3 from 8 million to 11 million. The firm said thanks to EA's marketing campaign, the title is seeing pre-orders "comparable" to pre-order figures for last year's Call of duty Black Ops. Earlier this week, UK retailer GAME said pre-orders for BF3's closest rival, Modern Warfare 3, are outpacing last year’s Black Ops. The figures for both shooters should make for an interesting discussion once holiday sales are compiled an posted in January. Thanks, GI.biz.
