Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 a disc-only release, says Capcom

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is a disc-only release, and will not be getting a digital launch for existing owners for MVC3, producer Ryota Niitsuma told Siliconera.

Niitsuma told the site that it didn’t have enough time to sort out details for a downloadable release. A digital release was also ruled out because of the amount of data from the game.

“Right now, we’re only thinking about releasing a disc version,” he said.

“Given the development schedule, there wasn’t enough time to work out all of the details to release it as downloadable content, as well. Also, for the reason you mentioned, there is so much data in the game it was easier to go this route.”

The game’s out in November at a mid-range price for PS3 and 360.

Of course it is disc only. The Super version just like Super SF4 is always disc only and people have to pay for a retail product to get it. The Arcade or Alpha edition that #1 mentioned will be the one that comes as over priced DLC along with retail disc.

No sale, Capcom. In fact, no sale for any of your future fighting games.
