Split/Second 2 assets are likely its first and last showing
Today’s episode of What Might Have Been comes courtesy of Split/Second 2, almost certainly lost forever in the closure of developer Black Rock Studios.
SystemLink turned this pair of images up in a former Black Rock staffer’s resume.
An alleged Black Rock insider said in May that Disney had cancelled pre-production on Split/Second 2 in December as part of its preparations to transition to a digital publisher.
Disney confirmed earlier this month that it would close the Pure developer.
Thanks, GameInformer.

totally agree, I loved Pure too, seems we were in the minority. Weird thing is Split/Second is one of the few games all my friends have too.
Racing games just seem to be dying out unless your GT or Forza.

@3 The sad thing is I doubt we’ll see another 60Hz Burnout either now that Criterion have been sucked into NFS development ( which admittedly must make them more cash ).

I HATE racing games but this is the one game that I actually loved. It always kept me on my toes specially online.
I really wanted this sequel aswell. Ffs
