Quintin Smith joins Paradox

By Stephany Nunneley, Thursday, 21 July 2011 18:12 GMT

Rock, Paper Shotgun journalist Quintin Smith is now Paradox Interactive’s Creative Marketing Commissar. Smith said he plans to work for the firm while “continuing to pursue his freelance writing career part time,” which is one of the reasons he departed RPS earlier this month.

Smith will split his time between Stokholm, London.

“I had a tremendous time interacting with Paradox as a journalist, so when they asked if I’d like to start working for them while continuing to work on projects of my own, it was an easy decision,” he said in the press release.

“This represents an opportunity for me to work even more closely with people I respect and games that I love. I originally wrote in that last sentence that this represents an opportunity for me to get even more involved with people I respect, but that sounds a bit suggestive. I’m glad I changed it.

All the best to him.

  • Quintin Smith leaves Rock, Paper, Shotgun

Rock, Paper, Shotgun writer Quintin Smith has announced he will be leaving the site effectively as of today. Smith says he’s leaving the site to pursue “ordinary freelancing.” Smith became full-time one-fourth of the RPS massive after Kieron Gillen left games journalism back in October of last year. All the best, dude.
