Oh yeah, I’m curious as to what will happen though in a built up area if frostbite 2.0 allows for better physics and destruction. How will it stop you from blowing a hole in a patisserie window and going instead a non mapped building, will there just be the usual invisible just too high to jump over barrier…

I think there’s one thing that this sort of reaction proves.

People who say that gaming visuals have reached a plateau and that they can’t improve that much need to think again.

Improving visuals still have a huge part to play in pushing the games industry forward.

I’ll stick with 360 unless I get a new laptop, I think.

I’ll be playing on 360 and PC since I have two, distinct and different circle of friends who either play online games exclusively on the 360 or exclusively on the PC.

Regardless of the platform, it’ll still be a whole lotta fun

I’ll probably end up getting this on my 360 but then also my pc, just simply to oggle at it.
I’m thinking I might actually get a brand new desktop just so I can run this on a good setting. But then also my current pc is definitely feeling the strain and isn’t up for the new powerful games any more. Its starting to get that slow boot up and is looking a tiny bit sickly. All I need to do is find a spare £1000 quid just lying around… yeah, good luck with that…

@30, aha, Kotaku just didn’t mentioned that PS3 version will have only 24 players per map and Pc version is up to 64 players per map

and maps on the PC will be bigger.

and if someone really is interested in Ps3 version you can look at the Fallon’s show and it’s not even close to PC version.

Erth, at no point have I ever disagreed with the obvious fact that the PC version will be the best version; I was just saying that I have friends who aren’t PC gamers but own 360′s and want to play BF3 with me – hence why I am buying both the PC and 360 SKU’s.

Style but no substance or the other way around. I dont know why but i didnt get excited one bit while watching this trailer. Not even a heartbeat extra for anticipation. Resistance 3 had more of an impact than this, which is a shame

@40 The guns look like they feel as sloppy as they did in BC2, but they still aren’t showing a lot of the real meat and bones, like suppression, tankbattles or the jets.

That said, I’ve never seen lighting like that in a game. Even though the muzzle flashes are greatly exagerated, the way they light up the wall next to them pretty much looks real.

Honestly, I can see myself buying two versions as well. Console version for playing with console friends, and PC version to drool over the visuals and justify my $400 graphics card…lol.

Guns look sloppy? Lolwut? Thats exactly how was and will be in Battlefield games since Battlefield 1942 and it will stay that way because it is perfect. Who disagree just don’t like the game and it’s ok.

Half-Life 2|Counter-Strike guns don’t have ironsights or weight, but shooting enemy is more satisfying then in any Call Of Duty game period.

Every game has it’s own feel, controls and guns weight and Battlefield nailed perfect system for it’s game and won’t change that in the near future.

also, it’s personal opinion but shooting with Pistol in BF games since first Bad Company is the best thing ever. (or Half-Life 2′s revolver .)

Am i the only one who really doesn’t care about 64 Players? The best matches i ever had in Bad Company 2 were with 24 Players Max. The battles were more personal. The players usually much better. There was more tactic involved. Either they do it in a similar way MAG did or it’s gonna be complete and utter Chaos.
