McCaig: 2015 for Respawn game was just "wild guess"

Respawn concept artist Iain McCaig has clarified comments made at Develop, where he said it would be 2015 before the studio's first game released.

Instead of it being when the game releases, what McCaig meant was when he could show his artwork from the project.

"2015 was just my wildest guess as to when I would be able to show my artwork, which is usually 12 months or more after release," he told GameSpot.

"I have no real information on the release date of the game."

So that's that. Respawn was founded last April by Jason West and Vince Zampella after the pair were fired from Infinity Ward. The studio's first game will be published by EA Partners.
