UTV Ignition lays off “fraction” of Faxion Online staff
Gama’s carrying confirmation from UTV Ignition’s VP of online Don Choi that a “fraction” of staff working on F2P MMO Faxion Online have been laid off.

But a site source has claimed that the “fraction” let go from True Games was in fact the majority of the studio in Austin, Texas. Layoffs included the platform team, customer service and “all but one” from the QA team.
It said that the severance package for those laid off was “a joke.”
The title’s studio in China is also set to shut down, although Choi wouldn’t comment on that. He did, however, say that Faxion Online would “continue to run and be updated frequently.”
It comes as UTV Ignition slowly makes the jump from a development company to becoming a publisher only.

Making an MMO is expensive work and making one that doesnt set the world alight, is an even bigger risk. Good luck to those in the shit. So glad that the VP keeps his job….not
