NBA Jam creator Turmell leaves EA Sports, heading for Zynga

NBA Jam creator Mark Turmell has left EA Sports, the company has confirmed.

"We appreciate Mark's contribution to Tiburon and EA Sports and wish him well in future endeavors," it said in a statement to Kotaku.

Turmell joined EA Sports in 2009 to help oversea the development of the rebooted NBA Jam, which he helped create while it was at Midway. It was rumoured last year he was helping to bring back NFL Blitz as well.

Kotaku's reporting that Turmell has now left for Zynga.
