Capcom hints at new Devil May Cry-related game

Capcom’s thrown the pigeons amongst the fire, mentioning a “secret, TBA” title from the company in a Unity post.

The mention is made in the blog, which is an art competition to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Devil May Cry. The winner of that comp will be “featured in a new, to be announced Capcom game! (plus a copy of said secret game when upon its release!).”

Now, the title of said secret game isn’t mentioned by name in the Unity post, but where else are you going to put Devil May Cry-related art? Ninja Theory’s reboot? That’s already been announced.

But what about the collection? Stay tuned, San Diego.

I hope it’s a true sequel to the DMC series.

I hope CAPCOM makes real sequels to Resident Evil 6 and Devil May cry series after this Western crap that is coming right now from bad developers.

but i hope that trash creations from Slant six Games and Ninja Theory will be forgotten. They are already looking bland as Fuck.

If it’s a NEW game then, it cant be a collection of old games unless Capcom thinks we’re really stupid to think of that as a new game! Eitherway, I think it’s going to be an XBLA/PSN title that is DMC related. It’s suicide to actually announce a direct sequel to the previous DMCs when they are are actually trying to reboot it – it’s like shooting yourself in the foot.

Lets hope it’s not a DMC game. Capcom has proven many times that they don’t understand how to treat the franchise properly. Glad they gave it to Ninja Theory.
