Sony extends AllClear ID Plus Identity Theft Protection offer in US through July 31

SCEA's Patrick Seybold has posted over on the US PS Blog that Sony has extended its AllClear ID Plus Identity Theft Protection offer in the US through July 31.

Offered to PSN users after the service was hacked back in April, AllClear ID Plus is available to users at no cost for 12 months from the time an account holder registers for the program.

The service provides cyber monitoring and surveillance of customer’s personal information, monthly identity status reports, priority access to licensed private investigators and identity restoration specialists, and a $1 million identity theft insurance policy per user to provide additional protection in the event that an AllClear ID Plus customer becomes a victim of identity theft.

To get started, sign up here if you haven't already.

Plans for ID protection in Canada and Latin America will be announced soon.
