Infinity Blade surpasses $11 million sales in six months

Epic and Chair Entertainment confirmed today that Infinity Blade has surpassed $11 million in sales since its release on iPad.

Speaking with VG247 following Apple’s earlier announcement of 15 billion apps sold via the App Store, a representative with Chair Entertainment confirmed that Infinity Blade earnings have “exceeded $11 million in just over six months since its release.”

Mark Rein, VP and co-founder of Epic Games stated in the Apple press release this morning that: “Infinity Blade has been a runaway hit with customers around the world and we couldn’t be more excited about our success on iOS devices.”

In June, the firm reported that the actioner had surpassed the $10 million sales mark, so it is indeed continuing to sell well.

Jesus Christ, that is fucking epic. I mean, what console game can touch those kinds of sales? Can any of them?

Do you mean in relation to the production costs? Otherwise there are plenty….

But nonetheless, huge numbers for such a small title.

Well, I mean in the space of 6 months really, especially as a new IP. Can Mario even manage 11 million sales in 6 months? Maybe I am betraying my sales figures ignorance here a bit…

It’s 11 million dollars of sales (money), not 11 million units sold.
