Sega takes on EA distribution in Japan

Sega has signed on to distrubute EA games throughout Japan, beginning with Shadows of the Damned.

Andriasang reports the deal kicks off with retailer orders for the Grasshopper Manufacture-developed title, which is due in Japan in September.

Sega will be responsible for all EA titles by August, including those currently distributed by other partners.

EA said it hopes to leverage Sega's local grunt to increase sales of its games in Japan.
