Report – PlayStation Vita UK price “close to £235″
CVG‘s reporting that the UK price for the newly-christened PlayStation Vita is expected to be “somewhere close to £235″ for the WiFi-only model, according to a site source. Sony says that an official announcement for the UK would be made “later in the year.” That might be code for: you’re going to hear it at gamescom. PlayStation Vita’s US, mainland European and Japanese prices was confirmed overnight, as was a holiday 2011 global launch.

Far Cry 3 video interview details world economy, XP, more
CVG’s gone live with a video interview with Far Cry 3 producer Dan Hay after the shooter was announced in the Ubisoft press conference last night, and there’s a ton of info in there left out of the conference section. Hay talks about being able to explore the game’s entire jungle island, world economy and plenty more. This really does look fantastic, so take a look below now. It’s out next year.

PS Vita demo reel belies massive developer support
During its E3 presser, Sony boasted of a huge number of third-parties onboard for PlayStation Vita. Would you like to see a list of those developers, accompanied by a video montage of upcoming titles? Of course you would.

PlayStation 3 firmware 3.65 available now
A new PlayStation 3 firmware update has slipped in under the twin cover of night and a bombshell E3 presser.
Firmware v3.65 reportedly addresses a few stability issues pertaining to specific titles, and fiddles with the save data utility for PS Minis.
The non-mandatory update won’t be downloaded automatically; you can opt-in by visiting the system update section of the console’s XMB.

PSA: 3DS eShop firmware update now live
Just a quick reminder that the first major firmware update for the 3DS ius now live in most territories.
The update adds in suport for the console’s eShop and an Internet browser.
Flash support is not inbound, unfortunately, and the 3D content video player is still some way off, although promised soon.
