Quick Quotes: David Jaffe on the possibility of Twisted Metal DLC
“[We] would love to support the new Twisted with DLC but as of now, we’re totally 100 percent laser focused on getting the core game done. I think we could intro new vehicles though and keep the balance of the MP in mind, so I don’t see DLC/Balance being the issue. The issue is more splitting your user base with the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots’. BUT we have some ideas on how to deal with that as well if we ever get to make Twisted Metal DLC.” – David Jaffe speaking on Twitter. Via ThatVideogameBlog.

Gears 3 Horde 2.0 video goes into detail overload
A new video of Horde 2.0 for Gears of War 3′s been released, showing off the vast improvements for the mode from its introduction back in Gears 2. Boss monsters, custom fortification and thensome. But the goal remains the same: kill plenty of Locust. Do that and you’ll earn money. As a certain games developer once said, this seems to be bigger, better and more badass. Go nuts, Gears lot.
Gears of War 3 launches worldwide on September 20 for Xbox 360. Thanks, Ve3tro.

Quick quotes: President Obama says read a book, not play a game
“We know that every father has a personal responsibility to do right by their kids – to encourage them to turn off the video games and pick up a book; to teach them the difference between right and wrong; to show them through our own example the value in treating one another as we wish to be treated. And most of all, to play an active and engaged role in their lives.” – Barack Obama in a Father’s Day letter from The White House.
Thanks, Spong.
