Respawn website opens f’real, teases game with blurry image

Wednesday, 29th June 2011 20:25 GMT By Johnny Cullen

Remember the crappy sitefront Respawn Entertainment had with just the email to apply for jobs within the new studio? It’s no more.

The upstart developer has opened up a brand new website after a year-and-a-half of basically nothing.

Its thrown a big tease in opening the site, however, for its new EA Partners-published game: a blurry image of what appears to be art can be found here. Or you can get it below.

Last we heard, Respawn was working on a sci-fi game of sorts, according to comments made at E3 by EA Games boss Frank Gibeau.

The studio was founded last April by ex-Infinity Ward co-founder Jason West and Vince Zampella after the pair were fired from the studio by Activision.

Game teases are so boring these days. Where’s the class?

Good to see Respawn up and about though. And kudos on the redhead for a community manager.

    COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see a tall apartment block style building, some mountains, a long, winding river, some chimney stacks, a riverside warehouse, part of a tree and some pwnage.

    Lots and lots of pwnage.

    All over the place.

Could it be? I might be a little bit off here, but … is that green Stuff TIBERIUM?

I mean they are working for EA, and they canceled a First Person Shooter set in the C&C: Tiberium Wars Universe. Now with a decent team, they might bring it back. It’s a Sci-Fi Shooter after all.

They’re working on an original new IP. They’re not working on any other EA properties.

Where’s Hollywoods magic depixalting photo enhancing tool when you need it!

“Zoom and enhance…now rotate the photo and you can clearly see that this is infact a sci fi version of Call of Duty. There’s the main character and all the weapons just off screen”
