Novarama signs exclusivity deal with Sony, focus on Vita

Fresh from its earlier House-Hirai megaton this morning, Sony's announced that its signed Barcelona-based developer Novarama Technology to an exclusivity deal, meaning the studio will solely work exclusively for SCEE and Sony platforms.

Novarama's currently making Reality Fighters for Vita, having released Invizimals for PSP. RF will also be a launch title for Vita, Sony confirmed in the press release.

The main focus for the developer going forward will be on Vita, although it will begin work on other projects on other "Sony platforms."

"This strategic alliance with one of Europe's brightest developers, a developer with unrivalled experience of augmented reality games shows our determination to work with creative and innovative developers," said SCE WorldWide Studios Europe SVP, Michael Denny.

"I am very excited about what Novarama have planned and look forward to being able to share it with everybody."

"For a studio geared towards innovation like Novarama, having a partner of the size and experience of Sony is the perfect blend. By extending our partnership, we will continue making kids believe in invisible creatures and turning gamers into video game characters. Broadly speaking, we want to make the impossible possible," added Novarama CEO, Dani Sánchez-Crespo.

"These are exciting times to be part of the Sony family. With PSVita on the horizon, the possibilities for creativity are endless."
