Tropico 3 now available on Xbox Live Games on Demand

Kalypso Media has just announced that the banana republic nation building simulator, Tropico 3, is now available on Xbox Live via the Games on Demand service.

The simulation game places players in the role of El Presidente, the newly appointed leader of the island nation of Tropico.

Players are charged with building the island’s economy and helming its path in the world through alliances and strategic decisions.

The game’s sequel, Tropico 4, is currently in development and is scheduled for an August 30, 2011 release in the US and EU.

Tropico 3 is available for download at £14.99 ($19.99 in North America.)

It’s cozy, isn’t it?

I remember people slamming the original Tropico for being behind the curve, but I always thought it was a cute concept, even if Tropico 3 really failed to improve a lot of the things that needed improving.
