Kirby's Dreamland releases on 3DS this week

The three-month-old Nintendo 3DS is about to get its very first Kirby game this week as the original 1992 Game Boy platformer makes its way to the 3DS download store.

Kirby's Dreamland

At €4 the game is a tiny slice of history as it introduces most of the elements that would become the basis for the rest of the Kirby series, including the main protagonist, King Dedede, Kirby's inhale attacks, and the floaty platforming style that has always set Kirby apart from the herd.

If you're looking for something to download for your 3DS this week you're not going to have many other options besides Kirby. The only other software coming is a German Language learning "game" and "A Fairy Tale".

It may be a while before we see some new Kirby gaming on 3DS, so if you're a fan you may want to snatch this up.
