Wednesday shorts: Need for Speed: The Run, Popcap, ESA, Shadows of the Damned

It’s Wednesday. Which means you’re almost there. So go nuts over these shorts in the meantime as Friday edges just a tad closer.

• There’s a video of Need for Speed: The Run being demoed at E3 over on the US PS Blog.
• The Facebook page for Shadows of the Damned has released a freestyle rap video for the game. We’re saying nothing. It’s out on Friday in the UK.
• SOE’s announced the winner of its G.I.R.L (Gamers in Real Life) scholarship.
• Somone’s made a stop-motion video of Final Fantasy VII. Give it a watch here if that’s your thing.
• Someone’s also made a head-tracking mod for Half-Life 2 that lets you peak around a corner. Kinda reminds us of the cover system for Killzone.
• Popcap’s holding an auction for all kinds of, quite frankly, amazing Plants vs Zombies goods.
• There’s a new trailer for NCAA Football 12 if that’s your thing.
• ESA’s announced Christian Genetski as the new general counsel for the organisation.
• Capcom’s gone into more detail about its collaboration with Universal Japan and full-scale Monster Hunter models.
• The launch trailer for Layton-like Doctor Lautrec & the Forgotten Knights is go.
