Wada: Square looking at Wii U for Dragon Quest X
Square Enix boss Yoichi Wada has admitted that the publisher is currently looking at a Wii U version of Dragon Quest X.

Speaking at a shareholder’s meeting, Wada said that the company would think about making the game work with both Wii and Wii U, and that it was currently doing technical investigations on how to support the new platform.
The answer was given when he was asked how it could support releasing DQX on Wii when its gone past its prime.
Ports of Dragon Quest 1, 2 and 3 for Wii will be left alone so the series can celebrate its 25th anniversary.
Dragon Quest X was announced back in the tailend of 2008 for Wii, but has gone quiet since.
Thanks, Andriasang.

I’d completely forgotten about DQX. I suspect the chances of this actually making it onto the Wii are pretty slim now, I bet it gets retooled as a 3DS game.

This would probably be the only way Nintendo could make the Wii U a success.

@2 Not unless they also have all their usual 1st party support and Monster Hunter.
