Team Fortess Über Update kicks off with week long free weekend

Valve is teasing a major Team Fortress 2 update this week – the Über Update – and inviting fans to speculate wildly on its contents with a series of teasers.

According to the Team Fortress blog, the update is the “biggest, most ambitious” change in the game’s history.

The update will drop on June 23, but in the meantime, a “week-long free weekend” is in effect, meaning you can jump into the team-based multiplayer shooter gratis.

Valve has let slip some, ahem, “clues” to just one of the surprises within the update:

1.) It IS a “Meet the” short.
2.) It involves ONE of the two remaining classes.
3.) It’s NOT the Pyro.
4.) It’s the MEDIC.
