Relic working on “next-generation” of Dawn of War, says Bilson
Relic is working on a “next-generation” Dawn of War III, and that it’ll do “some new things” with it, THQ core boss Danny Bilson’s said.

“We’re working on the next-generation of that franchise right now,” Bilson told Eurogamer.
“I feel like an ass saying it’s fantastic, but it is. And we’re going to do something with it you haven’t seen before. Preserving some things that have always been great about the first two generations of it, going back to 1 on some things, 2 on some things, and 3 will bring us some new things.”
Bilson also gave a hint that the new title will be release between 18-24 months after Dawn of War II, meaning a near-end of 2012-beginning of 2013 launch. He added that it will have “a much larger strategic component to it, more of a global battle going on with little tactical things, sort of MMO-like.”
This may just be the gamescom announcement Relic will have in Cologne in August.

@2, They did.
I hope they return to the more traditional RTS with base building & what now. Combining the graphics, details & cover system with the traditional base building of the original would make the perfect Dawn of War game in my opinion.

Can I have a new Company of Heroes please Relic. Like a proper full on Company of Heroes 2 in the same scope and scale as DoW 2.
Thanks.

You should specify that the game will be released 18-24 months after Dawn of War II: Retribution, since the base game was released in February 2009, meaning DoW3 should have been released already.
