Angry Birds reaches 250 million downloads

Rovio’s confirmed that Angry Birds has now hit 250 million downloads on all mobile platforms the game has appeared on. The news was confirmed by founder Peter Vestebacka in an interview with TechCrunch. Vestebacka also mentioned a location-based platform known as Angry Birds Magic. Who knew making a game that is essentially free in about ten different iterations on Kongregate and other flash game sites would be so profitable on a platform with no flash support.

It’s just a shitty copy of the endless flash games which have done the same thing (but better) since before the ipod existed…

*facepalm* If only these people knew about a crazy thing called ‘free online games’… I can’t even count the amount of free game websites that trump the shit that defines ‘gaming’ on the ipod.
