Square Enix "considering the possibilities of bringing Final Fantasy" to Wii U

Square Enix and FFXIII-2 producer Yoshinori Kitase has said that the company is "considering the possibilities" in having Final Fantasy come to Wii U.

"Three or four years ago we joked around about developing a Final Fantasy game on the Wii Fit balance board," Kitase said at E3 last week (via C3).

"But after seeing Wii U revealed at Nintendo's conference, we are now considering the possibilities of bringing the Final Fantasy series to the format."

Kitase is currently working on Final Fantasy XIII-2 for an early 2012 western release for PS3 and 360.
