Motorstorm Apocalypse Japanese release cancelled

The Japanese release of Motorstorm Apocalypse has been quietly cancelled.

Andriasang reports Sony did not provide an explanation for the cancellation.

The game was originally scheduled for worldwide release in early March, but saw delays in most territories following on from the Tohoko earthquake and tsunami, which struck Japan with devastating effect on March 11.

Motorstorm Apocalypse features dynamic environments which alter in response to natural disasters, including earthquakes.
