Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 a "test bed" for new direction

Gearbox Software has indicated the radical departure in style of the new Brothers in Arms game may not be a permanent change.

During a demo session at E3, Gearbox told GiantBomb that Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 is a "test bed" for the somewhat farcical stylings seen in the game's divisive trailer.

Developers commented that the franchise's earlier, true-to-life approach will make a return, and staff sergeant Matthew Baker will see a continuation of his story.

Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 is due on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012.
