Kotick throws water on BF3's chances against MW3

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has made public doubts over Battlefield 3's chances against Modern Warfare 3 this year.

"So far, I’ve only seen Battlefield 3 on a PC. I haven’t seen it on a console where the bulk of our business is," Kotick told CNBC at Nintendo's E3 press conference in a video interview, referring to most of the footage of the DICE shooter being released on PC.

Brief glimpses of the PS3 version were shown during the multiplayer trailer of BF3 during Monday's EA press conference, though.

"If it’s just a PC title, as it looks like today, that’s just a small audience to participate," he added.

Battlefield 3 launches on October 25 in the US and October 28 in the UK for PS3, 360 and PC. Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 8 for the same platforms worldwide.

In the same interview, he talked about WiiU, Nintendo's next-gen successor.
