Kid Icarus: Uprising media plummets to earth

Kid Icarus: Uprising isn't just looking good in this trailer and screenshots - it's also looking equitable, with a left-handed control option in the works.

Uprising has been designed by Kirby and Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai, who apparently has sympathy for those who prefer the sinister hand.

Pit is granted five minutes of flight for aerial combat at the beginning of each level, before returning to earth to continue battling there. The action switches from largely on-rails to third-person shooting.

Four-player multiplayer is available, with two teams of two facing off until only one player remains - with second place resurrected as Pit himself for a final showdown.

No word on whether the original's tough-as-nails difficulty has returned.
