Dragon’s Crown for Vita, PS3 in the works at Vanillaware

Wednesday, 8th June 2011 02:23 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Briefly featured as a mysterious unannounced title in yesterday’s PS Vita demo reel, Dragon Crown is the latest from Vanillaware.

With nary a press release to be had, Siliconera coaxed the details out of Ignition, the game’s publisher.

Slated for a 2012 release, Dragon Crown plays on both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, and is in development at the studio which brought us Muramasa: The Demon’s Blade.

Otherwise, details are pretty thin; hit the link above from some screen-cap images and sit tight for an update.

I don’t care whether it’s good, or not; I loved Muramasa and Odin Sphere, so I’m down for this. Being able to “transfar” (;P) between PS3 and Vita is something I hope to see from a ton of Vita games.

Nice! I saw that clip in the PS montage and immediately picked up on the Muramasa vibe and I couldn’t be happier. Muramasa is easily one of the few worthwhile games on the Wii and I’m glad they’re making a game for a real system now!

Holy Moly, WTF Sony? They should have fully focused on this during their conference. Both their 2D PS2 title and Wii title were sick games full of wonderful ideas and beautiful art.
