Virtua Tennis 4 announced for Playstation Vita

SEGA's announced that Virtua Tennis 4 is in development for Playstation Vita.

Developed by the same team as the original Virtua Tennis, the new title will mark the third time the series has been a launch title for a new Sony hardware device, with the other two occasions being the launch of the PSP and PS3.

There will be a total of 22 world's top tennis stars playable in the game, including the likes of Federer, Nadal, Murray and Djokovic.

The game will make full use of Vita's features, such as using its camera to enable you to customize your character with a photo of your own face, plus a special Touch Versus Match which allows two players to battle on the same handheld.

Although touch screen play is an option, full support for traditional controls will be included.

The game will utilise Vita's Party service to provide networked social features: World Tour Map and Online Mode.

If you're at E3, SEGA's set up a demo booth for the game at #4532 in the West Hall.
