Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City gets E3 trailer

The E3 trailer for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has hit YouTube, and it’s all CG.

The movie shows Umbrella operatives chasing down a guy who leads them to an abandoned garage, where a rather unpleasant surprise awaits them.

It doesn’t contain any gameplay footage at all. It still looks pretty good, though.

The game’s slated for a Q4 2011 release for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Watch it below.

Looking pretty good. But no gameplay to judge by, so not holding breath.

Why are these Umbrella people killing these cops? Is there really any need for that with all of these monsters about? They must feel a bit stupid at the end when that nuke hits killing pretty much everyone.
Why are their uniforms so random and so flashy? I understand they’re not exactly an official army, but why would any company issue different uniforms to people who effectively have the same role? I can understand the bomb guy having more protection but whats with everyone else? And why are parts all glowy? Real discreet, idiots.
Why do they bear the logo of a Pharmaceutical company who officially has nothing to do with all of this? Again, real discreet, idiots.
How do they have technology thats seemingly ‘from the future’ in 1998?
Why would Umbrella send in a set of Tyrants, Nemesis and have their operatives secretly amongst groups meant to help the population if they already have a group of super trained assassins ‘from the future’ on the ground?

Its like Capcom, not content with destroying Resident Evils story in later games has got in a time machine to destroy its past. Is this Terminator?

All CG so no opinion on game as such, however the CG is good. If video game movie adaptions are to be made then I think this type of CG is the way to go not live action. These impressive CG trailers are becoming quite frequent these days, does anyone have any sources as to how much they cost to produce?

I think that they took Hunk’s uniform as a jump off point and just went crazy trying to make them individual.

What I don’t understand is the relation to the other Umbrella Merc corps from RE3.

People really started questioning Resi plots only now? I guess it all made sense in the past games.

Largely unimpressed by this. Great for people who are looking forward to a re-skinned L4D. Let me know if this one actually contains some aspects of survival-horror.
